MADE BY A PROFESSIONAL CLOCK MAKER...THE BATTERY PART WASNT AN AFTERTHOUGHT OR MADE AT HOME. THIS IS AN EARLY ONE. VERY VERY EARLY HYBRID BETWEEN MECHANICAL AND BATTERY POWERED. I am guess it was made in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Has to be one of the first partially battery powered clocks. 10 3/4" tall and 7" wide BEAUTIFUL WOOD....looks to be oak but please see pictures. Condition: The wood body is in great shape with no cracks or chips. The metal switch on the side still functions. The glass face has no cracks or chips. The rear door opens and closes as it should with no issues. The top pin used to house a bell which is no longer with the clock. The movement used to have a hammer that would extend through the slot at the top and would ring the bell. The alarm set knob rotates as does the time set. The fast/slow switch moves with no issues. The wind time and wind alarm pins will need a basic knob. It will be protected well and insured. I WILL BE LISTING SEVERAL ANTIQUE MANTEL CLOCKS OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LISTINGS. Thanks and let me know if you have questions.
