Scarce 1940’s/1950’s Welby Corp Travel Alarm Clock

A scarce 1940’s/1950’s Welby Corporation folding travel alarm clock, Germany, U.S. Zone.  I’m not sure if the clock works as I turned the back dial and I could hear some sporadic ticking. This clock may have been made before the Western allies occupation zones became known as the combined West Germany. The clock states in part “WELBY CORPORATION GERMANY, U.S. ZONE” When open the clock is 2 7/8 x 3 inches in size.  The covers have a few small marks and otherwise ethe clock looks nice.
