Warren
Telechron “Telalarm Jr” Red-Dot Electric Alarm Clock 7H135, Tan Dial Version,
Running TELALARM
JR, Model #7H135, made by Warren Telechron Co. (one of several company name
variations), Ashland, Mass. circa post-WWII, estimate 1945 - 1950. One of
two versions of the TELALARM JR with different dial colors being listed. Small
ivory colored plastic case housing the “Red Dot” Warren Telechron electric
motor. The case material was also
referred to as “Lustrol”. (Some versions
of the case apparently glowed in the dark but there is no indication that this
one does or once did.) The painted metal
dial features stylized Arabic numerals on a TAN or BEIGE colored
background. The hour and minute hands
appear to have been luminous; the second hand is brass colored. Includes
the original six foot cord and plug. Clock Data (rear of case): Volts 100/125 CYC
60 W. 2 Motor information: Rotor: H3 HNK 3.6 RPM 60 C M2275 345 Dimensions (approx.): Width: 4-5/8” side to side Height: 3-3/4”
top to bottom Depth: 2-1/2”
front to back including knobs on back Weight: 1 lb. 5 oz. ( not packaged for
shipping ) Condition: USED, Good Looking
and Good Running Condition. Runs very well, quiet and maintains correct time. The plastic housing is very good for the age
and material with a small 1/4” hairline crack in the upper right front corner
and small discolored spot on the right side front edge, and a few scattered
nicks, scratches, and chips over other surfaces. The brown painted bezel has a few small nicks
in the paint. The dial and numerals are
very good. The hour and minute hands
show discoloration, a small amount of paint loss, and are probably no longer
luminous. The alarm set time hand and
the second hand are in good original condition. The motor rotor has had a small hole drilled in the housing most likely
to service the lubricant inside. This is
definitely not a recommended practice but in this case it does not seem to have
harmed the rotor. Also, one of the
original aluminum stand-offs for supporting the motor has been replaced by a plastic
spacer which does not affect the motor operation. The original electrical cord is a little
stiff but has no cracks and includes the original two-prong plug. No warranty or guarantee as to the continued performance of this
timepiece. Please
check the photos carefully as an important part of the description and for the
best measure of condition. Payment & Shipping : · Payment via Pricetronic Managed Payments within
