Vintage 1960 Westclox Travel Alarm Clock Manual Wind Red Case Mid Century. Westclox was an American clock and watch maker that started from late 1800's- early 1900's. By the 1960's & 70's travel clocks had become so popular that they started exporting work overseas to Japan, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. Apparently, travel clocks were the gift to give in the 60's & 70's . Many times these clocks are broken or have a broken wind up key. This clock, however, is in excellent working condition. It's a manual clock , meaning that it needs to be wound up every day for it to keep time, and for the alarm bell to work. I tested it myself, and it works beautifully, and has a lovely metal bell tone. Was owned by two adventurous travelers, and they took nice care of this clock. I see no defects on the clock, the case has a few wear marks from travel . Great vintage piece! Made in Hong Kong
